Rules
Rules and Regulations
All participants must read the following terms and agree to be bound by all amendments when registering for the competition.
(1) General rules
1. Participants must complete the entire course by hiking or by running independently.
2. Participants must carry all mandatory equipment at all times during the competition.
3. Participants may only receive assistance from their own private support team at the checkpoint. Private support will not be provided outside of checkpoints except in emergencies. The organizing committee does not prohibit but does not recommend that participants purchase drinks/food at inns and restaurants along the route.
4. It is strictly prohibited to accompany runners or support runners. To avoid misunderstandings, non-competitors are not allowed to accompany participants during the entire race (except official Sharpe mountain guides).
5. Food and drinks provided at the checkpoint are only for contestants.
6. The bib number must be placed on the front of the cloth and clearly visible at all times.
7. If participants withdraw from the competition, they must notify the person in charge of the nearest checkpoint and sign the withdrawal form (except for medical personnel who assist in withdrawing during the competition).
8. If participants require rescue assistance during the race, they should call the phone number listed on the bib to contact the organizing committee. When ordinary mobile communication signals cannot cover the event, GPS satellite phones should be used to contact the organizing committee in a timely manner.
9. Participants should follow the GPS track route and are strictly prohibited from taking shortcuts. If a participant is found to have violated the rules, he or she will be disqualified from continuing the competition.
10. During the competition, participants must carry all mandatory equipment at all times, and the organizer may conduct random equipment inspections. Competitors with incomplete equipment can only continue the competition after replenishing their equipment, and the waiting time during this period will also be included in the competition time.
11. Competitors need to follow the instructions of the person in charge of the checkpoint and the track picket. If participants have not arrived before the checkpoint closing time, they must exit the race according to the instructions.
12. Participants are not allowed to litter along the route.
13. Participants shall not damage the flora, fauna and landscape environment along the route.
14. Contestants are not allowed to take prohibited or illegal drugs.
15. Participants are responsible for the actions of their support personnel (not official support team). Participants' support personnel must follow the instructions of the organizer's staff and responsible personnel. If participants’ support personnel violates regulations or engages in inappropriate behavior, participants may be punished or disqualified.
16. Participants’ support personnel must comply with the instructions of all checkpoint staff, such as making space in the checkpoint area as required. The organizer is not responsible for the safety or whereabouts of non-official support personnel.
17. Those who violate the above rules may be punished by additional time or disqualification. Whether and how to be punished shall be decided by the organizer at its sole discretion without appeal.
18. Participants should consider the safety of themselves and others during the race, especially be considerate of other trail users when on narrow trails. If you encounter other contestants who are injured or unwell, please provide help or call the organizing committee immediately.
19. The competition requires contestants to purchase personal travel insurance and personal accident insurance in their country of residence. For details, please read the insurance instructions for participants.
20. The organizer reserves the right to amend the competition rules, routes and/or other arrangements at its discretion.
21. Participants must provide true and accurate information when registering. Any deliberate deception may cause the participant's registration to be invalid. If the organizing committee disqualifies the participant from the competition, it will not pay any compensation to the participant.
